Raven Entertainment Promotions has also added a new section to the site in the past month for book reviews and author interviews. The most recent addition to the book section is a review of Eldon Thompson’s Crimson Sword. For our young adults we have a 12 year old reviewer as well.

For our wrestling fans we have added an interview with Belgium indie wrestler Steve Venom, an interview with Kevin Paine , and an interview with Insane Lane.

In the indie movie section we have added an interview with indie director Leah Meyerhoff and an interview with indie director Eric Morgret.

In the reviews section we have added a CD review for Orlando’s own Kabang’s cd Equilibrium.

In the interview section we have added an interview with Chri§teele of Detroit band Sex & Patriotism.

Also on November 23,2006 I was interviewed by Wayne Hurlbert of the hugely popular Internet radio show “Blog Business Success” The interview is available in the archives section. Check it out and feel free to contact me with any thoughts or comments.

Myspace in the news again!

Filed under: Personal and Blogging — rephot @ 4:47 pm

You know I really don’t want this to be a rant but I think you really need that some times. I have been listening to my radio and they are talking about all the bad stuff that has been going on with people on myspace.com, so I just want to say my piece about that.In my opinion myspace.com is a great promotional tool for any type of entertainer but it is also a great way to keep in touch with friends or find friends you went to school with but haven’t seen in years. Another option for you is to meet new people that like the same things you do. Now this is the tricky part. Like any place on the net you need to be careful that you don’t give out to much personal information. I get the fact that you might talk to someone a million times on the net through myspace.com, a chat room, group, or what ever. But this doesn’t mean you know these people. Unless you have met them in person and I suggest you do this in a public place with lots of people, you really don’t know who you are talking to. Like anything it’s a risk you need to be willing to take. Even if you meet someone in a club, at a show, or what ever you are taking a risk leaving a public place with them. Another very scary thing I see people do on myspace.com is people post way to much personal information about themselves and there kids. Yeah I’m a proud parent but I would never post pictures of my son with his name and what he likes to do. As a matter of fact there is no information about my son on there at all. I live in an area that is heavily populated with perverts as it is I don’t need to help them figure out where they can grab a kid with no problem. Think about it you have your kids name, your name and other personal information on your profile. Now you add a pervert in to the mix who now is armed with all this information. He can go to say the park your child likes to play at. Calls your child by their name and tells them their mommy (remember they have the mommy’s name to) told them to pick them up. Even if the child is smart and asks questions the pervert may have the information to answer the questions. Or if you don’t have kids your name, where you live, what you like and where you hang out. Well now some freak knows all about you and what you look like. So he comes up to you in say a bar claims he loves everything you do and wants to go someplace more quiet to get to know you. You go than the next thing you know it’s not what you had planed at all because you get raped or worse. Sure that could happen anyway but why help the weirdo’s. I know you all are thinking could this chick get any more paranoid. Well I like to think I’m careful. I do have a son and I don’t ever want him getting a call that I’m dead in a ditch because I did something with out thinking. All I’m saying is that people need to think before they do stuff. I’m sure I have stuff on my page that I probably shouldn’t have but I have a lot less information than some. Now that I have said my piece I’m going to step down off my soap box. I feel that if my rant helps one person it was worth it. Plus it makes me feel better! Until next time think before you do something and if you don’t feel comfortable about something there is probably a reason.

Who Is Heather Burke?

Me with the guys from Double DriveI

I got several emails from people wanting to know more about me. So as a slave to the grind I feel it is my duty to fill you all in.

I'm originally from Mystic Island, NJ but now live in Kissimmee,FL. I'm a 28 year old single parent of a very rocking little boy. Music has been my passion from a very young age. Back when your music collection was all vinyl. But with the time your vinyl became cassettes and your cassettes became CDs. I'm sure it is only a matter of time until CDs are a thing of the past and MP3s rule supreme. But until that time I'm going to continue to add to my ever growing CD collection.

Some other things that I love are movies, sports, and outdoors. Which is why I couldn't set boundaries when I was building this site. You wont find just music but wrestling, actors and everything in between! I hope this helps to answer some of your questions and see you all at REP.

Welcome to RepHot! Since this is our first post I thought I would take this opportunity to tell you a bit about us and what to expect. We are a new up and coming entertainment promotions company. We are in the process of getting our website up and running. As well as finalizing our official name. As soon as that is done we will announce it to all of our wonderful readers.

Our goal is to help advance the careers of up and coming entertainers. Our main focus will be musicians but we are here for all entertainers and their fans. We are here to promote, market, and guide these entertainers to greatness.

A few of the great features our site will offer is a forum, an entertainers sections with pictures and bio's, street team assistance, email address's for our entertainers, and a tour calendar. This is just a taste of what we will offer with much more to come in the next few months. One of the biggest things we hope to do in coming months is add a radio station. This will be an enormous help with promoting bands.

We will be updating constantly so check back often and thank you for all your support in advance.
